Shanika + Robert | Fairy Tale Wedding| North Florida

Our first wedding since Covid-19 was a huge success! Thanks to so many amazing vendors! When this beautiful couple realized they could no longer have their wedding in Saint Vincent, they decided to tye the knot in their own backyard, where Michelle at Best Day Ever Rentals brought their vision to life and created a fairy tale venue! Every little detail was thought out and planned meticulously, and we were beyond delighted and honored to be a part of this!

The moment we walked into the bride and groom’s home, we knew it was going to be special! She is from the Islands and he is an Italian from New York! Together they are amazing! They really compliment each other so well. And their home is so beautiful! It was the perfect backdrop for their union. It was so sweet to see the bride’s family so involved and all together in one big home taking care of each other on the wedding day.

In addition to all the amazing details, we got to work with the most amazing vendors! It really was like a dream team. Everyone did their part and had everything ready on time and worked well together. Watching especially Michelle and her team at Best Day Ever Rentals pull off such a beautiful wedding (even tho it had rained the night before and was like 100 degrees…It was sooo HOT!!!). They worked so hard all day to make the Bride’s dreams come true! Check out the end of the post for the vendor list, in case you are looking for an amazing vendor!

All the sweet getting ready moments

The talented bride made the gorgeous flower girl dresses! Mind blowing!

How gorgeous are these flowers? A Country Rose Florist did such a lovely job on all the flowers

Those Shoes yall!!!! Had to make myself stop taking pictures of them! This bride had the most gorgeous set-up when we walked in! Her bedroom and bathroom looked like something out of a magazine. So much soft elegant light pouring in thru the windows combined with all the details made it so much fun to photograph!

THE RINGS!!! Allen always does such an amazing job capturing the beauty of the rings! Oh and that gorgeous blue ring in the photo just before this one? That was an heirloom of the groom’s handed down to the bride! Cue the tears! So beautiful!!!

Country Rose Florist - you outdid yourself!! These were some of the prettiest flowers we have ever photographed! And can we please acknowledge how epic that cascading bridal bouquet was?!! Absolutely breathtaking

Allen had so much fun capturing the handsome groom & his guys at The Doubletree in Tallahassee for the guys getting ready crazyness!

The First Look is always one of our favorite things to capture! There’s nothing quite like the moment the bride and groom see each other for the very first time on their wedding day!

Such sweetness when the Bride gets to show off her dress to her groom!!!

We always strive to capture these sweet moments while still giving the couple their privacy so it can be a quiet, intimate moment. Sometimes that means capturing it from behind a door, which can make for a super cool shot too. haha

And we just couldn’t resist capturing the sweet little flower girls watching the bride and groom. Too precious for words

All the lovely details!!! Michele at Best Day Ever Rentals made our jobs so easy and created so many gorgeous details for us to capture! She and her team nailed it!

Those precious little flower girls did such an amazing job! Their gorgeous floral headpieces just complimented their sweetness and beauty!

Then their was the “runaway ring-bearer”. Ha-ha! He was such a cutie! I don’t think his mom & dad minded too much tho. They were kind of busy (since they were saying “I-do”. heehee)

Oh the sweetness of these quiet moments spent in prayer during a wedding ceremony…acknowledging the amazing God who brought them together in Unity

And again, one of our absolute favorite moments to capture is right after the “I-do” and kiss…the moment the couple takes their first few steps as Mr. and Mrs! Such joy!!

Im pretty sure their little guy is excited about this wedding!

So of course you’ll notice the Bride’s joy and excitement! That’s a given since she’s so enchanting! But don’t miss the gorgeousness above them - created by Michele and her team at Best Day Ever! So so pretty!

Well done Artistic Confections …that cake was Stunning!!!

And let me tell you this… Catering Capers did such a phenomonal job fixing and serving this food and catering to everyone in the heat! How yummy does that food look? They were all so helpful, keeping everyone cool with water and drinks and keeping tummies filled!

Best Day Ever even created the cutest litle kids table! Such a great idea!

The toasts never disappoint! Ha-ha. Always full of joy and laughter!

First Dances always leave us swooning!

I hope the groom had comfy shoes since he had a first dance with his bride, his daughter and his new Mother-in-law. What beautiful relationships!

The set-up was even more gorgeous at night, all lit-up! Made for such fun photos and such a fun evening for everyone!

The Newlywed game (AKA The Shoe Game). Always hilarious!!!

Abernathy Entertainment kept the party going all night! They were an absolute blast to work with. The best part was at the end of the night, about the time we thought the party was over, they played one more song!! Since the Bride and Groom couldn’t travel to the islands for their honeymoon (due to Covid), these awesome DJs brought the island to them with ribbon streamers, light wands and island music! It was such a sweet way to love on the couple

Allen was so excited that Robert and Shanika saved a little energy for one last epic shot! This has become one of his favorites to do at the end of the night! I love the way he’s always learning new tricks with lighting and photography to bless our clients!

Rob & Sha, we are so excited for your beautiful family and hope and pray you are still as happily married 25 years later as we are! Thank you for letting us be a part of your beautiful day and get to know you and your sweet families and friends!
