KATLYN + MATTHEW|WEDDING|WATERVUE EVENTS|FORT WALTON BEACH FLORIDA
Oh, the beauty of this bride...and of this day - March 19, 2016! Katlyn & Matthew are absolutely adorable together! They are so comfortable with each other and bring out the best in each other - as it should be.
THEIR STORY:
They met in 2002 while working at a restaurant in Destin. Then at Katlyn's Senior prom, Matthew asked her to be his girlfriend. So sweet! Then the magical day arrived - on July 17, 2015, at a Fall Out Boy concert in Atlanta, where Matthew proposed to Katlyn...to the song "Dance Dance". (see their Engagement photos for a "remake" of the moments). So, they have been together for quite a while, which makes them super comfortable with each other, and in front of our lens! Bonus for us!!
We first met Katlyn when she was the maid of honor in another wedding we photographed (another of our sweet Brides!) We totally adored her and thought she was the sweetest thing. She took such great care of the bride! She asked for our business card that day, and held onto it for a few years - until she got engaged...then she called us! WHAT??? We were over the moon to have the opportunity to be her photographers! Little did we know how much we would totally fall in love with them both and that we would consider them sweet friends by the time the wedding was finished. They are so easy going & fun to be around. Katlyn is the kind of girl that is totally at home in her blue jeans & t-shirt, and also completely at home in a gorgeous Oleg Cassini wedding gown! Classy, Elegant, Breathtaking - yes that's Katlyn (see photos below for evidence! ;-) Matthew is a super cool & super laid back guy that makes you at ease when you're with him. Together, they are a lot of fun to hang out with and photograph.
So, although the wedding day has come and gone, we still are grinning big as we stare at these photos. The day turned out gorgeous - in spite of a bit of rain - which they say is good luck. It rained on our wedding day, and we've been happily married for almost 21 years. So brides...if it rains on your wedding day, just consider it a good sign that you & your handsome groom will be crazy in love with each other for a lifetime! Together, you'll be able to weather any storm that comes along!

ALLEN ALWAYS LOVES TO GET THE WEDDING PARTY TO DO A FEW FUN PHOTOS. THIS GROUP JUST HAPPENED TO BE AWESOME AND ROCKED THE WEDDING PARTY JUMP SHOT!!! WOOHOO!!

EACH TIME WE PHOTOGRAPH THE FATHER/DAUGHTER DANCE IS SO SPECIAL. THESE MOMENTS ARE TOO BEAUTIFUL TO NOT BE CAPTURED. WE ALWAYS FEEL LIKE WE ARE A PART OF SOMETHING SO SACRED IN THESE MOMENTS (AND WE TOTALLY HAVE TO BLOCK OUT THE FACT THAT ALLEN WILL BE DOING THIS WITH OUR GIRLS ONE DAY. AHH!)

WATER VUE AT BROOK STREET COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE GORGEOUS THAN WHEN IT WAS DECKED OUT IN TEAL! ISN'T THIS INVITING?
EVERYONE HAD A BLAST AT THE PHOTO BOOTH BY B-BOY PRODUCTIONS! WE EVEN GOT TO HAVE A LITTLE FUN AT IT OURSELVES.
THERE'S ALWAYS A COUPLE OF GUESTS THAT JUST KNOW HOW TO GET THE PARTY STARTED AND CELEBRATE WITH THE BRIDE - MAKING OUR JOB A BLAST!
YES, BRIDES! YOU CAN WEAR WHATEVER SHOES YOU WANT TO WEAR ON YOUR WEDDING DAY! THIS BRIDE SURE IS PROOF OF THAT. SHE TOTALLY WORKED THE CONVERSE WITH THE WEDDING GOWN LOOK!
WE GOT TO ESCAPE THE RECEPTION FOR A FEW MINUTES WITH THE BRIDE & GROOM - TO GET THESE BREATHTAKING SHOTS! THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER.
THE TOASTS ARE ALWAYS SO MUCH FUN. NO ONE IS EVERY QUITE SURE WHAT THE PERSON HOLDING THE MIC IS GONNA SAY. IN THE PHOTO BELOW, THE BRIDESMAID SURPRISED THE BRIDE & GROOM BY STAGING THEM FOR THE ENLIGHTENMENT THAT IT WOULD BE THE LAST TIME THE GROOM WOULD HAVE THE UPPER HAND. HA-HA! IT TOTALLY CAUGHT THEM OFF GUARD.
